OH WHAT FUN!
The bus drove up and out pops this guy. As he enters the Family Life Center he
begins to talk nonstop. Finally I interrupt and ask, “And you are who?” He backs up and
realizes that he hasn’t introduced himself and doesn’t even know who I am. He begins
again, this time introducing himself, and I also share who I am. Brian is the driver for the
Crabb Revival band. A good old boy from Kentucky. He drives the bus a couple of weeks
a month and has for awhile.
The next person to arrive is Adam Crabb. I know who he is, and he looks like I
remember. Spiked hair under a University of Kentucky baseball hat, jeans, and t-shirt.
Just a normal guy that simply has a wonderful voice range. Each of these folks in the
band have stories and families and a personal faith in Jesus Christ.
There were almost 300 folks in the Family Life Center that evening. The Glory Road
band from Chillicothe was, if possible, even better than the last time they came our way.
We have been blessed with their music now four times. They also have some wonderful
words that they share about their faith. Then the Veatches from Trenton sang. That was
my first time with them, and they are great folks with moving stories of faith and life.
This past Friday the 26th was a fun time. Thanks for supporting the event. You invited
your friends and neighbors and came yourself. Thank you for all you did to make it a
night to remember.
I need to thank also those that moved chairs—Ted, Richard, Stony and the guys from
the MFA exchange. Thanks to Gordon Dale and Lisa for working hard to move tables,
setting up the hospitality area in the Soul Café, and cleaning floors. And thanks to
Kenneth and Arlene for cleaning bathrooms.
Then there were the greeters and door holders and ushers and the parking lot help.
To all of you I offer sincere thanks. Without your help and support it couldn’t have been
done. Allow me to share a moment of personal pride. Granddaughter Tori did something
she had never done before—she ran the video camera that was then put up on the BIG
screens so that we could see as if we were on the front row.
I have heard folks say that church is not supposed to be a place to have fun!
NONSENSE! We worshiped our God and saw some lives changed and yes it was a little
loud. . . but it was oh so GOOD. God Bless, steve
THANK YOU!
We’d like to thank those of you who donated basketballs for kids (of all ages!) to play
with in the Family Life Center! We could still use a few more, so if you see a good deal,
take advantage of it!
CHILD IDENTIFICATION PROGRAM
The Masonic Lodge is hosting a Child Identification Program on Saturday, March 20 in the
HUMC Family Life Center from 7 am to 5 pm. For more information, contact a Mason!
EASTER IS COMING!!!
Easter is coming, and it’s time to prepare the way for Jesus and for our company that
will be coming! Last Sunday, a clipboard was passed regarding cleaning of different
areas of the building. If you signed up for a certain area, please be sure it is well-
cleaned by March 31. (We’ll have people in the building for Maundy Thursday and Good
Friday events on April 1 and 2.) SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS: Remember that you
are responsible for finding volunteers to clean your classrooms (or clean them as a class
project)! If you weren't here Sunday, the clipboard is in the office. Stop by to see if
there are any blanks and sign up! REGARDING EASTER BREAKFAST: This year the
men cook, and the ladies clean up! All paper products have already been purchased
and/or donated! PREPARE THE WAY! Make ready your heart! Make ready this home!

THANK YOU!
Dear HUMC, Thank you for allowing the police department to use your beautiful
facilities last week. The room was perfect for our needs. To find food and beverage
was an added treat. You went above and beyond, and we deeply appreciate your
kindness and generosity. Thanks again for all you did for us.
Sincerely,
Sgt. Kim Poynter
& the Hamilton Police Dept.
